With the holidays coming up we decided to give through December to read The Hunger Games.
Set in a future where the Capitol selects a boy and girl from the twelve districts to fight to the death on live television, Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her younger sister's place for the latest match.
Hey everyone I have posted the new book, we are giving through December to read it. Soooo.... Go check it out!
ReplyDeleteA few people have been having problems leaving comments. I have since changed the setting so that anyone can leave a comment. Now You do not have to be logged in to leave a comment. You can click on the button below the comment box that says "Comment as" and you can select "anonymous" just be sure a long with your comment you put who is leaving the comment, just so we don't get confused. Such as at the top you can put "Mom said... or Kerry etc.."
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read this again. I think it will sink in a bit more since the first time I read it I was done in under 24 hrs. I will give nothing away to all of those reading it for their first time but get ready for a VERY interesting and intense book. People need to make posts about books. I want to hear what everyone is thinking, so GET ON IT!- Krista
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading the book. I think that the author is talented in weaving the story together. But I have to say I hated it. I thought it was really violet from the beginning to end. I wasn't sure what to expect when I started it but, I didn't know it was essentially a Gladiator themed book. Just not my kind of book I guess.
ReplyDeleteLoved the book, although I do agree with Sue about the violence. Kind of disturbing to think of that kind of life. I thought the book was a little slow at the beginning and it took me awhile to figure out that Katniss was a girl. Also, the book kind of ended abruptly. Guess I need to go and read the 2nd one.
